Provincial Nomination Program

Every province in Canada has their own provincial nominee program (PNPs). These programs are of 2 types: active and passive programs.

Active PNP programs (Express Entry Process)

make you eligible when you as an applicant are enrolled under the express entry profile and have an active application in the system. There is no need to submit an expression of interest under active PNP programs as these profiles are shared from the ongoing active federal EE applications. If you’re nominated, the province or territory will send a nomination certificate to your account, and you can accept it electronically.

Passive PNP programs (Non Express Entry Process)

need to be applied for separately. RCIC at Livewell Immigration can access your profile and get advice
